Biography
Clément Grimm (b. 2001, Geneva, Switzerland) lives and works between Paris and Geneva.

He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts HES-SO from ECAL (Renens, Switzerland) and in 2026 with a DNSAP from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. He develops a practice situated between sculpture, installation, and image. His work explores notions of enigma, truth, and perception, combining elements from heterogeneous contexts to reveal their zones of ambiguity. Through subtle gestures and minimal transformations, he questions the boundary between fiction and materiality, the visible and the invisible, constructing spaces where memory, architecture, and narrative converge.

Grimm juxtaposes elements from heterogeneous registers in order to create new contexts and frameworks for interpretation, moving beyond the singular realities of the objects he works with. His works, often made from transformed industrial materials or reinterpreted readymades, invite an exploration of the limits between the visible and the invisible, the narrative and the sculptural. They play on a tension between familiarity and strangeness, combining immediate access to recognizable forms with a poetic resistance to interpretation.

His interventions, modest yet enigmatic, transform space and materials into fields of exploration. His objects, often the result of subtle transformations or minimal gestures, interrogate the relationships between writing, architecture, and fiction. Grimm seeks to dissociate forms from their origins, allowing his works to drift through unpredictable narratives in which time, place, and history become blurred. His works become mirrors onto which our own questions are projected, suspended between absence and poetry. At the heart of his practice, the vertigo of the archive is transformed into unpredictable narratives capable of putting the rigidity of forms under tension, allowing possible worlds to emerge.

Winner of the Prix Tremplin (2023), supported by the Fondation Leenaards, he also produced apermanent work for the Grand Hotel in Pristina (Kosovo). His work has been presented at the Galerie du Crous (Paris), the gallery Kissed Then Burned (Geneva), the FMAC – Fonds d'art contemporain de la Ville de Genève, Art Genève, the Mighela Shama gallery (Geneva), HIT(Geneva), Spazio Orr (Brescia), and Damian & The Love Guru (Brussels). In 2023, he wrote and directed the feature film Le Géant se regarde dans le Miroir et ne vit rien.
